The DeBarted Episode Guide

Lisa to school, when the two start bickering and fighting. Tired and exhausted from moderating the two, she inadvertently crashes into Hans Moleman's car. Bart manages to escape unhurt and attends class, where he is shocked to find that his seat has been taken and assigned to a new pupil, who has incidentally been kicked out of his former school. The new pupil takes Bart's place as big man on campus, and quickly gains popularity amongst Bart's peers. Feeling his social rank slipping, Bart sulks.

In the meantime, Homer has taken his car to get fixed, where much to his surprise is given a loaner car to use in the meantime. The loaner car is significantly better then his older car, and Homer soon ditches his old car in favor of the new one. Bart soon plans a prank on Principal Skinner, employing magnets and metal sole pads to force Skinner to dance and ultimately be hurled outside of the school and in to a container filled with old and lost mouth retainers. Bart regains the respect and admiration of his peers, but when Skinner attempts to find who's to blame - the new school pupil takes responsibility for Bart's prank. The school pupil turns out to be a snitch, working with Principal Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers to get Bart suspended for a long time (which turns out to only be 10 days). Bart invites the new pupil into his clique, alongside Nelson and Milhouse, who partake in various school prank related schemes.

Groundskeeper Willie informs Bart that a traitor is amongst him, but Bart wrongly suspects Milhouse and with the aid of Nelson and the snitch imprison Milhouse in a remote locker. Bart plans a final prank on Skinner, only to soon realize that the snitch is really the new pupil after having seen Skinner's tongue which is blue colored referencing an earlier meeting with the snitch where he distributed Blue Vines only found in Europe that Bart had managed to acquire. Nelson, Bart and the Snitch take a surprise detour at Willie's house, where Bart uncovers the new pupil as the snitch. However Willie had been another snitch working for Skinner and Chalmers and they attempt to stop Bart from completing his real final prank - mixing large quantities of Mentos and Diet Coke together. At the last minute as Bart is about to be taken to a detention center, the snitch saves Bart by creating a distraction with the Mentos and Diet coke allowing them to both escape, as Nelson flees the premises. The episode ends with Ralph in a trashcan citing that a "rat symbolizes obviousness".
